Sincerely Natural
Yes, since we use the cold process method of making soap, we do use lye (sodium hydroxide). The fats (oils) and the lye when mixed together create a chemical reaction that converts the ingredients into a naturally moisturizing soap. So even though we list sodium hydroxide in our ingredients, there actually is none in the finished product.
Are your soaps ALL NATURAL?
Yes, that means they are biodegradable as well. All our soaps are 100% natural, with the exception of a few that may contain fragrance oils or skin-safe dyes, such as Sincerely Cole.
Are your soaps made with animal fat?
No, we do not use tallow or lard in any of our soaps.
Do you use preservatives in your soap?
We make all our soaps in small batches using the freshest ingredients and therefore do not use any sort of preservative.
How do I store my soap?
Handmade soap should be kept out of water and allowed to dry between uses. The best way to do this is to keep your bar in a soap dish with drainage. Wet your hands, rub them on the soap, lather and rinse.
